Snell to the i.l. with adductor strain

Blake Snell has been placed on the 15 day injured list with a left adductor strain, the San Francisco Giants announced today.

An adductor strain is an injury involving part of the muscle group of the thigh. In regards to the amount of time a player will miss with the injury, we can look at two Chicago White Sox players who went on the injured list in April with adductor strains to give us the two extremes. Eloy Jimenez had an adductor strain that landed him on the injured list on April 1, and he returned to the White Sox on April 15.
