Texas Longhorns redshirt sophomore edge J’Mond Tapp entered the NCAA transfer portal on Wednesday, according to multiple reports.
A consensus four-star prospect out of Donaldsonville (La.) Ascension Catholic in the 2022 recruiting class, Tapp was ranked as the No. 107 prospect nationally and the No. 11 edge, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. Tapp committed to Texas in August 2021, a little more than two months after taking an official visit to Austin, over nearly 20 other offers, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Texas A&M, and USC, among others.
