TAMPA, Fla., March 28, 2024 – The University of South Florida softball team (24-13, 4-6 AAC) shut out the North Texas Mean Green (19-13, 8-2 AAC) to open the weekend series on Thursday night. The Bulls won with a score of 5-0.
South Florida now has nine shutouts this season, eight of them have happened on their home field.
North Texas had the early scoring threat in the second inning. They quickly loaded the bases but left them loaded.
Two walks for the Bulls put a runner in scoring position in the third inning.
