Rhyne Howard wins third-straight WNBA Rookie of the Month honor

Rhyne Howard continues to dominate in her first year as a professional. The former Kentucky Wildcat just won WNBA Kia Rookie of the Month for the THIRD consecutive month and sixth time this season. The Atlanta Dream guard is now only the seventh player in WNBA history to win Rookie of the Month three months in a row.

In the month of July, Howard averaged 16.3 points, 1.6 steals, and 0.8 blocks to lead all rookies, and averaged 4.8 rebounds. She ranked first among rookies in made field goals (5.8) and threes per game (2.4). Howard scored in double digits in seven of Atlanta’s eight games in July and 20 or more points in three.
