Three up, three down: An update on the Cubs, April 22 edition

Since we last met in the “Three up, three down” space here a week ago, the Cubs are 4-3.

That’s ... not awful. But it seems a lot worse, doesn’t it?

It’s clear that the team misses the offense provided by Seiya Suzuki, who is likely out at least three more weeks. Guys are just going to have to step up. And it’s not just the offense, there have been some pretty bad bullpen meltdowns, too.

Nevertheless, we’ve got three players who had good weeks, in addition to the downside. So let’s start there.
