Mauricio Pochettino left in the dark over summer spending after Chelsea revealed £90.1m pre-tax loss... but the club insist they won't break any rules and are targeting £43m Nico Williams

Mauricio Pochettino says he will speak to Chelsea's owners to find out where they stand after it was announced on Thursday they had made a pre-tax loss of £90.1million for the year ending June 30, 2023.

That followed on from losing £121.4m the previous year, adding to concerns the club owned by Todd Boehly will need to sell significantly this summer in order to avoid breaking the Premier League's financial rules.

Chelsea insiders dispute that, adding they are confident they will encounter no issues.

In fact, they want to spend this summer, with their interest in Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams being revealed this week.
