Paul Skenes, one of the most exciting prospects in baseball, will make his first MLB start for the Pittsburgh Pirates on Saturday.
Skenes, who was the No 1 draft pick in 2023 and is dating former LSU gymnast Olivia Dunne, will pitch against the Chicago Cubs at PNC Park.
The Pirates teased the news with a video on social media, alongside the date 5.11.24.
The 21-year-old right-hander burst into the national consciousness last year, while at Louisiana State University, where he was named D1 National Player of the Year and won the College World Series.
