Coyotes' youth set to impress at rookie camp

In recent years while searching for a boost to climb back into playoffs, the Coyotes continually left opportunities for prospects to jump onto the roster.

But the spots went mostly unclaimed because the maturity to cut it in the NHL wasn’t there.

The potential brewing in the pipeline is legitimate, and just how many youngsters will win a job with the Coyotes will start to be gauged at the team’s rookie camp when practices start Saturday at Gila River Arena.

“I’m anxious to see how many of the younger players look like they’re going to make our roster come October 9th,” General Manager Don Maloney said.
